Euro elections 2019: registration and voting rules in Norway

Euro elections 2019 - how to register in the voters' poll?

Data in the e-Wybory system and in the application form should be entered legibly. They must be compatible with the identity document (passport or ID card), of course, diacritical marks (Ą, Ć, Ę, Ł, Ń, Ó, Ś, ź, Ż, etc.) must be taken into account.

Applications should be made through the ELECTRONIC VOTER REGISTRATION SYSTEM e-WYBORY (https://ewybory.msz.gov.pl),

or at the Consular Section Polish Embassy in Oslo, Drammensveien 171, 0277 Oslo:

- by phone, phone number: +47 24110877,

- by e-mail (please attach a scan of the completed and signed application form) to the following address: [email protected] ,

- in writing, by sending a completed and signed application form by post to the following address:

- orally, in person: at the seat of the Consular Section (the application form is available at the office),

What must be in the application?

-Last name

- Name names)

- Father's name

- Date of birth

- PESEL identification number (Polish PESEL number)

- Place of residence of the voter abroad

- Number, place and date of issue of a valid Polish passport. In countries where an ID card is a sufficient document to cross the border, the number of a valid Polish passport may be replaced with the number of a valid ID card. In the case of a European Union citizen who is not a Polish citizen, the number of a valid passport or other document confirming identity as well as the place and date of its issue should be provided.

- Place of entering the voter into the register of voters (commune in Poland) - in the case of Polish citizens temporarily staying abroad or citizens of the European Union who are not Polish citizens permanently residing in the territory of the Republic of Poland.

Applications can be submitted until May 23, 2019 (inclusive).

Certificates issued by the consul

Participation in elections and change of place of residence

A voter who has entered the list of voters drawn up by a consul who changes his place of residence before election day, may receive a certificate of the right to vote.

The application for a certificate should be submitted to the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Oslo in writing, by fax or in electronic form no later than May 24, 2019 (inclusive):

The certificate is collected upon receipt in person or by a person authorized in writing. In particularly justified cases, the consul may send the voter a certificate with a return receipt.
