We have been dealing with a heatwave for some time. Hot, even African temperatures swept through the Polish woman. Norway also experienced extremely high temperatures, which surprised everyone. Heat in Greenland? It turns out that they will also appear there - according to specialists, thermometers can show even a record 35 degrees Celsius.
Heat in Greenland - what can we expect?
A heatwave has been sweeping across Poland for a long time. It turns out that this disturbing front is also heading towards Greenland. Already in Norway temperatures in many places exceeded 35 degrees Celsius, even in the north of the country. Unfortunately, the consequences of such a situation include a growing number of fires, which we wrote about, among others, in the text: Fires in Norway - more countries are fighting the element!
Huge heat waves - also in Norway.Heatwave - How to Protect Against Them?
The heat is a handicap for all of us. They make it difficult to function at work and at school. Staying in the sun for too long can lead to weakness, dehydration, and strokes. How to protect your body on hot days?
- drink a lot of water, the body must be hydrated,
- protect your head by wearing a hat, cap, etc., when you go outside,
- if you do not have to - do not stay in full sun,
- eat healthy - eat fruit, vegetables rich in essential minerals and vitamins. There are also fruits such as watermelons, which are great for watering,
- when going to the beach, use sunscreen,
- in very hot weather, use blinds, fans to cool the room.
Climate change - what can we do?
Heatwaves are, unfortunately, a disturbing consequence of climate change, which is "afflicting" our planet. we wrote about it in the article: Norwegian students against global warming. It turns out that we can take small steps to take care of our future, and above all of our children, grandchildren and future generations. Just take small steps like:
- segregation of garbage,
- avoiding plastic packaging and using reusable ones,
- limiting the consumption of meat in favor of vegetables and fish,
- making loved ones aware that small steps are important.
The heat in Greenland is disturbing news - together we can do something to improve the condition of 'Mother Earth'.
