Since the traumatic events on the island of Utoya, the Norwegian services have been approaching any dangerous behavior with greater commitment and vigilance. The Norwegian Security Service (PST) detained a twenty-something-year-old boy on September 5. He is suspected of belonging to a terrorist organization and planning an attack. Planned terrorist attack? It is not known. However, the young man was temporarily detained.

Planned terrorist attack? What do we know?

Not much so far. The services are very discreet in this matter and do not provide information. We know, however, that the detainee is a Norwegian citizen who has so far lived in the eastern part of the country. The accusation results from 133 of the Criminal Code - belonging to a terrorist organization and planning a terrorist attack.

Can we feel safe?

The aforementioned events make us feel unsafe, even in the country of fjords. A place that has always been considered very safe. We do not know if the planned terrorist attack really took place - but it is always worth being careful.

  • do not underestimate any strange behavior, especially in public places, inform the police about it,
  • sensitize children to negative social behavior, teach them to be careful in every situation,
  • adhere to the principle of limited trust,
  • read the rules of behavior - in the event of a terrorist attack. May this knowledge never be useful, but it is worth having.
Terrorist attack. Do you know how to behave?

Terrorist attack - how to behave?

Of course - we all wish that this knowledge would never be useful, but do we really know how to behave in an emergency? Do we know how to proceed? It turns out not. Here are some top tips.

  • if you can't escape use furniture for cover,
  • when the attacker is close - do not get up and pretend to be dead, as the attacker is less likely to approach the person lying down,
  • in case of shots, hide behind any cover.

On its website, the Ministry of the Interior describes in great detail and presents how to proceed, inter alia, in the event of being in a group of hostages, in the event of a threat of a bomb attack or biological and chemical contamination.
