Toruń - in the footsteps of Copernicus. Toruń is a city that is definitely worth visiting. Why? Toruń - in the footsteps of Copernicus ... Planetarium - with a visit to space

Toruń - in the footsteps of Copernicus. When we talk about Toruń, we almost spontaneously associate it with Nicolaus Copernicus. In the center of Toruń's Old Town Square, there is a monument to the astronomer. He is the point at which students, but also city residents, meet their friends. So if you hear a phone conversation in Toruń in which one of the people says: "Okay, let's see you at the Mound", it means that it is a statue of Nicolaus Copernicus. Just one street away from the Old Town Square, there is the House of Copernicus. This is definitely a place worth visiting when going on a trip to Toruń. We will see what the astronomer's family home looked like, we will have the opportunity to listen to audio and video recordings related to the work of Copernicus. It is also an amazing opportunity to really touch the history of the city. The House of Copernicus is not the only attraction waiting for tourists in Toruń. Be sure to visit the Planetarium with your family - it's an amazing adventure for young and old ...

If Toruń, then also gingerbread

Another association that should come to mind when talking about Toruń is gingerbread. Of course, the traditional ones, known as Katarzynki, are available for purchase in almost every store within the Old Town. However, few people know that Toruń has the Gingerbread Museum, which is located on Rabiańska Street. It is a fantastic attraction for both children and parents. The animators will not only present the history of Toruń gingerbread in an interesting way, but also reveal the secret recipe. The highlight when it comes to visiting the Gingerbread Museum is the ability to make any shape gingerbread yourself. Unfortunately, you cannot eat it afterwards, which, however, does not change the fact that it is a fantastic souvenir after visiting Toruń.

Toruń's Old Town or the heart of the city

When we visit Toruń, let's also give ourselves some time to enjoy Toruń's Old Town. It is a place that is vibrant with life all year round. Not only is it full of historic tenement houses, but most of all it is a place that gives us a really huge field of possibilities. Entering the Town Hall tower, visiting the Kamienica pod Gwiazdą, or finally walking along Szeroka Street - these are just some of the possibilities when it comes to visiting Toruń's Old Town.
