Krakow: Broken gambling gang. Krakow policemen broke up a gambling gang. As many as 9 members of an organized criminal group that organized illegal gambling games fell into the hands of officers. The broken gambling gang created, among others, 39-year-old attorney-at-law and his partner. It is estimated that as a result of the operation of the gambling gang, the State Treasury lost at least PLN 5 million. However, this amount is not final.

Apart from the attorney-at-law who led the gambling gang, 8 other people related to the activity of the Cracovian were arrested. Detainees are people aged 20 to 56. Police officers entered 10 apartments in Krakow. In total, nearly 180 thousand. zlotys in various currencies. This case is supervised by the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Krakow. The allegations that were brought against members of the gambling gang include:
- issuing false invoices,
- directing or participating in an organized criminal group,
- certification of untruth in documents,
- tax frauds,
- illegal gambling.

As many as 4 people were arrested in the case of the activity of the gambling gang in Krakow. A preventive measure in the form of police supervision was applied to the remaining suspects. These people had to pay a property guarantee. They are also prohibited from leaving the country until the matter is resolved.
Broken gambling gang: what penalties for detainees?
Detainees who were involved in participation in an organized criminal group may be punished with up to 12 years imprisonment. The proceedings in this case have been conducted since 2017. Since then, as many as 15 people have heard the accusation of participation in the operation of a gambling gang. However, the prosecutor's office does not rule out the possibility of further arrests. As emphasized by the prosecutor in charge of the case, it is of a developmental nature. The detainees heard a total of nearly 300 charges. A broken gambling gang operated throughout Poland.
