It turns out that a large part of schools receive written threats of attacks with weapons on schools in Norway. The threat is high to several schools in Vike. In addition -now there have been new threats of attacks on several secondary schools in Drammen, Hønefoss and Kongsberg. Last week, a high school in Danvik received threats of an armed attack. The head of the preventive unit in Norway has already established contact with the principals of most schools in Norway. The situation is really worrying and it cannot be underestimated in any way. Several secondary schools in the Drammen district were threatened on Tuesday, but also Kongsberg and Hønefoss.
“We still do not know the identity of the person or persons behind the threats. The content of the threats is the same in all schools. After the analyzes and the investigation already carried out, we believe that they were generated using a hacked profile on social media. " says Geir Oustorp, head of the preventive unit.
The police issued a special message
The police assure us of their stricter actions:
“The threats to Buskerud schools have been posted in various online forums over the past week. The police take such threats very seriously and have opened an investigation into the matter. At the same time, the police increased their readiness to act in Buskerud thanks to uniformed and civilian patrols. Schools operate undisturbed on the recommendation of the police. ”- we read in a special announcement.
To sum up. Work is underway to find out the identity of the sender. However, the police are trying to prevent the investigation from adversely affecting the daily work of educational units. Due to the situation, directors and educators are in constant contact with the police and inform about any disturbing events. In addition, special preventive classes are conducted in schools.
