Oslo City Council on Thursday decided all schools and kindergartens would be closed from Monday 16 March. Primary and secondary schools will be closed from Friday 13 March

- The measures we are taking are very far-reaching and have serious consequences for the city's population. We are doing this now because we fear that the consequences of not doing so will be greater. The most important thing now is to prevent the infection from spreading and to protect our inhabitants, says city councilor Raymond Johansen in a press release.
