The government has prepared recommendations for spending the Easter break under the sanitary regime.

General rules

• If you are not feeling well, stay home and get tested as soon as possible if you suspect coronavirus infection.

Social life

• Maintain two meters distance from other people, both indoors and outdoors.
• Limit socializing as much as possible.
• You should not have more than 2 guests in the house. If your municipality of residence advises you to avoid visiting you, you should do so at home, in the holiday cottage and elsewhere.
• If you come from an area with a high number of infections and strict local restrictions, overnight visits over Easter are discouraged. Children and adolescents under 20 years of age and people living alone however, they can accept overnight visits with 1-2 regular friends.
• It is recommended to choose outdoor activities. Avoid places with a lot of people and it's hard to keep your distance.

Travels

• Travel abroad, unless absolutely necessary, is discouraged. Avoid domestic travel if not necessary.
• However, you can travel to your (own/borrowed/rented) holiday home, taking special sanitary precautions on the way and at the place of rest. In such cases, travel with people from your own household, and do your shopping before leaving and keep your distance from other people.
• Wear a mask in the store
• Only one person in the family does the shopping
• Do shopping during off-peak hours
• It is important to find out what restrictions apply in the municipality of residence, for example via the municipality's website or on helsenorge.no.
• If you are traveling to a municipality with less stringent restrictions than your municipality of residence, you should, as a rule, follow the instructions in your municipality of residence.
• If you are in quarantine or waiting for a test result, you should not go on Easter vacation, including going to your own holiday home.
• If you fall ill while in the holiday home you should go home. If you are notified by phone that you are quarantined, you should go home.
• You can go to a country hotel, but keep distance from other guests and limit yourself to common areas. If you are coming from an area with high levels of infection and severe local restrictions, you should not travel to hotels or other accommodation. where many people gather.
• It is not advisable to travel from one shelter to another as it entails a significantly increased risk of spreading infections.
• In case of the use of unsupported hostels, it should be possible to book in advance so that several households / groups do not stay there at the same time.
• In the case of hard-to-reach vacation homes, where the provision of medical assistance when needed and the possibility of quarantine / testing may be a challenge for the local health service, local consideration should be given to recommending that such lodges be closed.
• On compulsory travel abroad (for example, children who will be visiting their parents in another country), it is important to be careful when traveling and to comply with the quarantine and return test requirements.
• Tourism industry representatives should consider restricting access to common areas to reduce the risk of spreading infections and facilitate compliance with sanitary recommendations. Church services and other celebrations
• In the case of services and other religious celebrations and conventions, the rules, guidelines and recommendations of the events apply during the Easter period. You should not attend these kinds of gatherings outside your own parish. It is recommended that you postpone any events that are not strictly necessary until after April 12.
