League of Nations - The success story continues ...
This is another match we won, of which not only the team members, but also us - the fans, can be very proud. The team that played yesterday included, among others, Mateusz Bieniek, MVP of the last Champions League final Aleksander Śliwka and Maciej Muzaj. From the very beginning of the Nations League, they showed that they had enormous talent and potential. These three played the "first fiddle" during the match against Russia.
How was the match going?
The beginning of the meeting is mainly due to a large number of errors on the part of the Netherlands. Poles took advantage of their rivals' weakness. Licks and blocks deserve recognition. Bieniek and Muzaj were second to none and crushed the Netherlands 9: 3. The second part looked similar. The Poles managed to recapture three attacks by the Dutch. Suddenly, the coach makes a change to the Dutch squad and sends Abdel-Aziz to the pitch. This one successfully implements the fourth attack. In the third installment, Śliwka and Paweł Zatorski showed themselves very well. They rubbed Abdel-Aziz's nose. Thanks to this, the match ends with a score of 25:14 for Poland.
What's next for our team?
The Nations League continues and the emotions don't end there yet. A very difficult and undeniably demanding meeting ahead Polish team.
“After two easy and short matches against Bulgaria and the Netherlands, on Friday the Poles will face one of the most difficult tests in the 2021 Nations League. At the end of the third weekend of the competition, our volleyball players will face Brazil, which, together with Poland, leads the table after eight rounds. He has the same record (7 wins, 1 defeat) and the same number of points (21). There will undoubtedly be much more emotion and fight in this match than in the clashes with the Bulgarians and the Dutch combined.” (source: Sports Facts).
