.

Oslo has been changed from red to dark red in the updated infection map of ECDC, the EU's infection control agency. Together with Norway, 26 other European areas have a deteriorating infection situation.

In Norway, Oslo has turned dark red from red. Agder and Viken turned red while Vestland was red last week as well. The other circles are orange on ECDC map.

Deteriorated situation in 27 areas

ECDC's risk assessment helps to form the basis for the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) infection map. While the situation has improved in some areas of Europe over the past week, it has worsened in 27 places in total.

FHI will update its infection maps on Friday, these will show which countries and regions are covered by the additional requirements for the crown when entering Norway. On the same day, the government will make the final decision on the restrictions, based on the maps. The new rules should enter into force on Monday.

. Hotel quarantine

If you are coming to Norway from the orange or red region, the requirement is, among other things, to undergo an entry quarantine. However, this does not apply to people who are fully vaccinated or who have had Covid-19 in the last six months. In a situation where the country is dark red, part of the quarantine should also be carried out in the hotel.
