Minister Kjell Ingolf Ropstad
An extraordinary ministerial meeting will take place at 11 am following the resignation of Kjell Ingolf Ropstad (KrF) as Minister for Children and Families. Vice-chairman of the KRF and Minister of Agriculture Olaug Bollestad will take over Ropstad's tasks in the Ministry of Children and Family.
Solberg to the UN General Assembly
Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) attends the 76th UN General Assembly in New York. The meeting is also attended by Foreign Minister Ine Eriksen Søreide (H). A few weeks before Norway takes over, this will be Solberg's last chance as prime minister to meet many of his international colleagues face to face.

Judgment against hotel manager in Rwanda
A sentence is expected in the trial against Paul Rusesabagin, accused of terrorism. Rusesabagina, hailed for saving ethnic Tutsi during the 1994 genocide, was arrested last year. He was a longtime critic of President Paul Kagame's regime. In 2004, his actions became known all over the world thanks to the Hollywood movie "Hotel Rwanda".

The government of Sweden presents its proposal for the state budget. The government previously announced that the draft budget would include tax breaks for 7,5 million low and middle-income Swedes.
