Higher minimum wage from June 15

From June 15, 2023, new minimum wage rates will apply. The rates apply to all workers who work in the nine industries where minimum wages have been introduced.

Wage universality means that the pay and working conditions contained in a national collective bargaining agreement must apply to all workers in a given industry or sector, whether they are organized in a trade union or not. It is the employer's responsibility to ensure that employees' wages are at least as high as general rates. 

The Norwegian Labor Inspectorate ensures that companies comply with public administration regulations. They apply to both Norwegian and foreign employees.
