“With Norges Bank now raising its key interest rate, we are leaving the historic period of zero interest rates behind us. We are moving towards normalization. Even after this adjustment, our clients will continue to enjoy very low interest rates, says Ingjerd Blekeli Spiten, DNB Executive Vice President Retail.
DNB will therefore be one of the first banks to increase mortgage rates after Norges Bank raised its main rate on Thursday percentage point to 0,25 percentage points. Before Thursday, the main one interest rate has been 0 percent since May 7 last year.
