Lillestrom – a city unlike any other in Norway. Unfortunately, what happened there is also not uncommon. Currently, proceedings are underway against a pedophile who persuaded 280 children to send their naked photos. That's all officially - behind the scenes it is said that there could have been many more victims.
We know the details thanks to Barnehuset in Moss
Łukasz Pawłowicz - our editor-in-chief - heard about the case quite by accident. As soon as he found out about the scale of the crime, he decided to contact Barnehuset in Moss. Thanks to this, he was given the opportunity to ask the policemen and the victims' lawyer about the details of the case and the conducted proceedings.
Known scheme
The pedophile conducted his activities in the years 2015-2018 - at least this period is under investigation. The operating pattern has been known for many years. An adult man pretends to be a girl on the Internet. In this way, he gains trust among his "peers". Such actions are very effective in practice. In this one case alone, he recruited 280 children over three years. Unofficially, the numbers are much higher. What's more, the victims also include Polish children from Lillestrom.

Children must always be looked after
Link described a very disturbing story in one of the groups on Facebook. The incident took place in one of the Warsaw districts. The Polish woman was returning with her partner, she was accosted by a strangely behaving man. However, he was set off by the couple due to the things he started talking to Link's partner.
After a while, however, the same man was standing at the bus stop with a child who was about 10 years old. The time was quite late, and the suspicion of Link's partner was aroused by the fact that the boy had hardly spoken. This prompted them to take the same bus line, although they were actually waiting for a different connection.
He was scared
Inside the vehicle, the boy looked scared and did not seem to be paying attention to what the man was saying to him. This prompted Links' partner to intervene. He approached the 10-year-old and asked if he knew this gentleman. He said no - it turned out that he had been accosted by a stranger on the pretext of escorting him home. Links immediately took the boy into his care and led his parents safely.
Be careful with your children. The Internet is an extremely dangerous place
There are many more such dangerous situations. The development of sexual crime is additionally facilitated by widespread access to the Internet. Pedophiles have found a paradise for themselves on the Internet, which can be seen, for example, in the program "The Pedophile Hunter“. In this particular case, the host - Krzysztof Dymkowski - uses the Internet to track down pedophiles. He pretends to be a child under 15, responds to advertisements on the Internet and arranges a meeting. In this way, he sets a trap for the criminal - he arrives escorted by the police, who catch the pedophile in the act.
Dark Web - the dark side of the Internet
We wrote about it in early August, how the Norwegian services found a way to deal with pedophilia in the so-called "Dark Web". As a result of the actions taken, 100 people are suspected of being involved in sexual crimes against minors, of which 7 people were charged with indictments and 46 were detained for the duration of the investigation. As it turns out, this is a fraction of what happens in the part of the Internet that is inaccessible to most of us.

“My first time with a baby”
A few days ago, in "our" part of the Internet, screenshots from a forum for pedophiles appeared, in which they talk about their experiences with contraception in young people. The stories themselves evoke disgust mixed with frustration and fear for their children. However, on the one hand, the scale of pedophilic behavior is terrifying, and on the other hand, the fact that such acts are committed by people we trust greatly.

In the screenshot above you can see many phrases that should never be used. First of all, the entry by a user with the nickname “radek852” is outrageous. Well, as he says, "he has a four-year-old cousin whom he will take care of for a week because her parents are going on vacation." As the rest of the comment shows, this child has already been molested. This case shows how much we need to be careful with our children - it turns out that our closest and trusted family members, whom we would never suspect of such tendencies, are also pedophiles.

The screens indicate a large scale of occurrence of this type of behavior. People we trust, even fathers of our own children, do them. It is worth being aware that on this level it is not worth trusting anyone 100% - after all, it is about the mental state and health of our own pearls.
The functioning of the "Dark Web" favors the development of pathologies and even the creation of social groups of sorts. Pedophiles are just some of the few users of this part of the Internet. To use it, theoretically, you just need to have the appropriate program and start the adventure with the so-called “Hidden Wiki”. In practice, we expose ourselves to extreme danger. We must be aware that people using the hidden part of the network may be dangerous, and they are also able to track us down to the meter. Therefore, we are even more pleased with the successes of the Norwegian police, who are beginning to cope with identifying and catching criminals operating on the "Dark Web".
