– We see that reopening has a major impact on the labor market. The demand for labor is at an all-time high, and a less and less people register as jobseekers with Nav, says Director of Labor and Social Welfare Hans Christian Holte.

"We leave a strong economy to the next government," he says.
Most of the unemployed are in the tourism sector
The number of jobseekers decreased in all occupational groups from August to September. The largest decline was recorded in tourism and transport (-2600), service occupations and other jobs (-1300), and shop and commercial work (-1200).
Most vacancies
Despite the large decline, most people were still completely unemployed in tourism and transport, accounting for 4,6 percent of the workforce. It was the lowest in academic professions and teaching - 0,8 percent.
The number of jobseekers has decreased in all counties. The decline is greatest in Oslo (-8%) and Vestland (-7%). The percentage of completely unemployed as a percentage of the workforce is highest in Oslo at 3,1 percent and lowest in Nordland, Troms and Finnmark, both at 1,7 percent.
The greatest decline among young people
The decline in jobseekers is greatest among people in their 20s. The percentage of completely unemployed is the highest among people aged 30–39.
In September, 45 new vacancies were registered in Nav systems. This equates to 000 vacancies per working day, 2200 more per day than a month earlier. Most vacancies are in healthcare service, nursing and care – 9400.
