On September 9, the government changed immigration laws. The amendment to the regulations will make it easier for entrepreneurs and other self-employed people outside the EEA to live and run a business in Norway.

For applicants, the changes to the Immigration Regulations simplify the application process
Foreigners from non-EEA countries who come to Norway must still be able to support themselves. In addition, there must be a financial base for business in Norway. For applicants, changes to the Immigration Regulations simplify the application process, including:
- The requirement for municipalities to report financial grounds for a company or business activity has now been removed from the application process.
- If the applicant receives financial support from public bodies in Norway such as Innovation Norway, this must be taken into account when examining the application for residence.
It's easier to come to Norway now
