* NIPT stands for Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing. It is a method used to determine the risk of having a fetus having certain chromosomal abnormalities such as trisomy 21, trisomy 18, and trisomy 13. This test looks at small pieces of DNA circulating in the blood of a pregnant woman.
