In the first nine months of this year, the University of Trondheim (NTNU) received 64 applications, 37 of which concern employees.
In August last year, NTNU created the "Si fra!" ("Tell me!") Where students and university staff can report "adverse events and things that are not functioning properly".
During the first five months, 31 submissions were received. However, this year, until September 20, as many as 64 were received.
Universitetavisa has asked for access to these cases and writes that the reports are very different. You can read that a university employee was a victim of verbal sexual harassment and inappropriate telephone contact. Two other reports concern sexual harassment.
Another report concerns hate speech about gays and the work environment among employees. Other reports concern intimidation, discrimination and fraud.
In its latest business report, NTNU writes that the development of these reports must be followed over a long period of time before any action can be taken. NTNU has an external committee that deals with matters related to sexual harassment.
