Omicron infection confirmed in Moss

A case of omicron contamination has been detected in Moss, confirms the municipality of Moss. The case of the infection has to do with the outbreak in Oslo.

- We can now confirm that it is the omicron variant, says communication consultant Lotte Olsen Jessa from the municipality Moss do Moss Avis on Friday at 16 p.m.

The chief physician of the municipality of Kristian Krogshus in Moss says it is to be expected that there may be more cases of the omicron variant in the municipality.

- We know that there will be more cases from Oslo and other municipalities. Since a few infected can spread an infection without even knowing it, says Krogshus and adds:

“We'll probably see more omicrons in Moss as well.

Twelve new cases of omicron were also detected in Oslo following an outbreak that started at Frogner in the municipality of Oslo.
