Companies that were supposed to pay the tax at the turn of the year will be given the option to postpone this deadline to March 31, 2022 due to the new closure.

This is all agreed by the Labor Party, the Center Party and the SV.

– I'm glad we found a solution that means it's profitable companies do not have to take advantage of tax breaks, when they are closed due to infection control measures, says Eigil Knutsen of the Labor Party.

Anti-crisis measures will last as long as the crisis continues, emphasizes Center Party Geir Pollestad.

After March 31, installments will have to be repaid monthly until December 31, 2022. The change will cost PLN 320 million NOK.

- When new infection control measures emerge and reduce the turnover of the business community, it is natural to defer tax payments. This will be an important contribution to remedying the situation for the business community, says Kari Elisabeth Kaski, SV spokesman for fiscal policy.
