The Britannia hotel in Trondheim is withdrawing the layoffs of 292 workers after the government agreed on Sunday to change the wage support system.

- The change that is coming now. It is that October and November two years ago can be used as a reference for the loss calculation. This means that we are withdrawing the layoff for 292 employees, says hotel director Mikael Forselius to E24 .

A well-known hotel in Trondheim employs around 500 employees, and on Friday sent layoff notices to 292 employees.

That's it FriFagbevegelse as the first to write that the hotel was making a complete turnaround after Finance Minister Trygve Slagsvold Vedum (Sp) on Sunday night and announced that the government would change the wage support system they unveiled on Friday.

- It's the best thing that could have happened. Now we can use time as long as the constraints last. Of course, with limited work in bars and restaurants, training and education, and training courses to improve the competences of all employees, says Forselius.
