The boy fell from the new school building.

He died at Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen on Monday afternoon, Sørvest Police District reports in a press release.

The accident happened on Sunday evening in Nysæter ungdomsskole in Sagvåg in the municipality of Stord. The police were notified of the incident at 20.30:XNUMX PM on Sunday night.

– A tragedy occurred after several youths entered the area construction site schools. The information provided shows that when we stepped on the Styrofoam boards on the first floor, they could not bear the weight. This resulted in the slabs breaking off and a fall of around 4 meters to the level below, investigation leader Roald Raunholm from Stord Police Station told NTB at 10am on Monday morning.

On the spot, the injured boy received first aid and was taken to Stord Hospital, and then to Haukeland University Hospital.

The police secured the scene and conducted several interrogations of witnesses. Hearings on the case also continued on Monday, Raunholm reports.

- The police do not yet have a complete picture of the course of events, but I hope that questioning witnesses will give us more details. The incident appears to be an accident. If anyone has information on this, they are asked to get in touch on 02800, Raunholm said.

The victim's relatives refused to disclose the name.
