Many Poles, here in exile, dream (or consistently fulfill these dreams) about investing in real estate; both in Norway and in Poland. Is this a good time for such investments?
There is always a good time to invest, we just need to answer the question of how we want to do it. Besides, do we want to invest actively or maybe passively? The markets in Poland and Norway differ significantly from each other, which additionally increases our possibilities. However, in order to invest well, you need knowledge that helps us make good decisions and protect us from mistakes, which, unfortunately, can cost us a lot. It is also worth investing in your knowledge, because thanks to it we significantly increase the chances of success.
Why do you / you - your organization want to share such valuable information with people almost for free, basically for a symbolic conference ticket?
We started 3-4 years ago, without any real estate knowledge. At that time, a group of us devoted their free time to participate in various types of training, workshops or symposia. We spent a lot of money on flights, journeys and accommodation in many cities in Poland, just to be able to participate in meetings, thanks to which we had the opportunity not only to take advantage of the knowledge of experienced speakers but, equally important, to establish contacts with people who, just like us, are interested in the topic real estate and broadly understood investing. The organization we founded is a non-profit organization and therefore we do not charge any remuneration.
We use the income from meetings to cover organizational and marketing costs. The greatest value for us are other people willing to deepen their knowledge. Equally important is the exchange of contacts and experiences with each other. We strive to invite specialists in their industries to our meetings, from whom we can really learn a lot. This is an attractive meeting formula for people who have been involved in this field for years real estate as well as new ones just taking their first steps. During a 2-3 hour meeting, the speakers are able to explain in detail what they do and how they operate on the real estate market. This is an ideal opportunity to establish cooperation, often joint investment, or individual training or consultations to help you develop.
So to the shore ... What is Asbiro Investors, who are the members, what are you doing and what are the benefits of it? Are you like real estate agents? Do you help to invest or just advise?
ASBiRO Investors is a club of investors with branches all over Europe. We share our knowledge about wise capital, business and real estate management, and we invite interested persons to cooperate. We are neither real estate agents nor advisers. Our main goal is to spread knowledge among people interested in investing in real estate and help in establishing relationships that will help in the implementation of many business projects in the future.
The first, big event that you organize are the lectures of distinguished guests, and the whole thing will constitute the official opening of the Berlin branch.
Yes, it is the first official meeting of our organization and its official opening. At the outset, I would like to thank our first guests who did not have to be persuaded to come and share their experiences. Both are entrepreneurs who are very eager to share their knowledge and ate the proverbial teeth on real estate. Przemysław Kocoj is aan active investor on the market real estate in Poland and Norway. During his lecture, Przemek will tell us about investing in real estate in Norway on the primary market, presenting his investment strategies and describing examples of completed investments. Przemyslaw Ożarowski is an active investor in the real estate market in Norway. Przemek will talk about his experiences with investing in real estate in Norway and will present information on the current development project.
Why is it worth coming to the meeting and finally why it is worth joining you?
We are the second branch in Norway and the first in this part of the country that deals with issues related to real estate and general investment. We try to meet everyone interested in the subject of real estate. If someone wants to meet people and investors, and at the same time have access to the best specialists in their industry, we cordially invite you to our meetings.
What is the feedback on your activities and the next event here in Bergen? Who do you want to reach? Who has or must be the focus / target group?
It promises to be a large group of people. For many of them, this is the only opportunity to gain knowledge from more experienced people on how to invest Norway and what phrases can be achieved in this market. We invite everyone to the meeting, regardless of age or level of knowledge. Currently, the scope of experience in our organization ranges from people just starting out, but with great willingness, to people who have already had many successful real estate investments.
What experience do you have in working with Polish emigrants? We are quite a hermetic environment, closed to initiatives.
Everyone has a goal in life and strives to achieve it. This often results in various kinds of exclusion and isolation. We are open to all those who want their personal development. Open to anyone who wants to meet and share their experiences with us, and we want to share all of this with others. Only by opening up to other people can we activate at least a part of our Polish émigré community. There is strength in people, and the more of us, the greater the strength to act.
To invest in real estate you need two things: time and money. It's best to have both. However, you have an idea for people who are only halfway this way, and maybe even 1/3 of this way ...
When 4 years ago, together with my wife Ania, we bought our first real estate for rent, we had neither the time nor the money, yet we managed to buy it. We know that we overpaid a bit, but it was "fric" that we had to pay for gaining experience. We managed it thanks to the help of our parents, who took a mortgage on their shoulders and trusted that the path we want to follow makes sense. After finalizing the first investment, we started to deepen our knowledge in order to be able to develop more confidently on the real estate market and avoid mistakes. Since then, we have managed to implement, among others, a few flips that help build capital and significantly accelerate the process of becoming rentiers, i.e. early retirement and not worrying about finances, enjoying life and who knows, maybe visiting the whole world, because we both like to travel.
So live actively and earn passively?
Above all, live consciously and invest your money wisely. Passive income is the most possible and interesting solution, especially for people working in Norway. However, there are many factors that affect it, and therefore it is worth learning to invest in order to achieve such passive income relatively easily and safely.
