Statsbygg - The Norwegian Building Authority took the floor
A few days ago, Statsbygg provided information about changes in procedures in a special announcement construction industry. The changes will enter into force on 1 January 2020. From this point on, separate changing rooms for women and men will be a requirement on every construction site. An appropriate provision will appear in all tender documents related to future projects.

There is no consent to discrimination against women in the construction space. The minister said also: “ When building sports halls, no one argues that women's and men's changing rooms should be built. Therefore, I believe that everyone should take this standard for granted.”

Let's hope so planned changes will enter into force as soon as possible. There are women important and needed workers in the construction industry. They often have high qualifications and predispositions to perform many (sometimes very difficult) jobs.
