Last weekend, the government recommended that residents of 25 municipalities take strict means of transport to cottages holiday homes. This council is now removed from all municipalities except Nordre Follo.
- We are no longer advising residents of these municipalities to go to summer houses, but on the way we give everyone some important advice - says Minister of Health and Care Bent Høie.
These tips are:
-Travel from your home only and do not receive visits.
-Before leaving, do all the shopping in your parish.
-Do not visit shops, restaurants or meeting places with many people in the commune where there are summer houses.
-Keep sufficient distance from those you meet on the ski slopes, ski lifts and hiking.
-Check what advice and rules apply in the commune you go to, and then follow them.
Advice for the people of Nordre Follo
For residents of Nordre Follo, there is still a council not to leave for holiday homes outside of their own municipality.
Advice on avoiding unnecessary travel after Norway still applies all, but this does not include traveling from your home to your holiday home.
today Norwegian Directorate of Health and NIPH say the situation is clearer
- We advised against traveling to holiday homes in order to be on the safe side when the situation was difficult. Today, the Norwegian Health Directorate and NIPH say the situation is clearer and advise us to change this recommendation. For many, it is good to be able to travel to holiday homes during this challenging time. Some people who live in crowded places will also find it safe to be in the holiday home. Going out into the fresh air is good for both physical and mental health, especially at this time, says Health and Welfare Minister Bent Høie.
