A concrete truck that collapsed in Lørentunnelen on Ring 3 in Oslo before Christmas caused serious damage to the tunnel.
Lørentunnelen on Ring Road 3 (Ring 3), westbound Sinsen, will be closed 6 hours a day from Thursday 22.00 January at 15 to Saturday XNUMX January due to renovation. The detour is signposted on the Dag Hammarskjølds vei road for westbound traffic. Road users heading west should take the extra time to travel and possibly find alternative routes or park their car. Movement eastward will be normal.

An accident in Lørentunnelen before Christmas, in which a truck overturned (the so-called concrete mixer) resulted in serious damage to the tunnel structure. Construction manager Ole Kristian Kjosbakken from the Norwegian Road Administration explains what repairs need to be done:
- We have to dismantle and replace the ceiling and wall elements in the tunnel and apply shotcrete in some parts. The works will result in the electrical system not working. As a result of the works, the tunnel will darken and the fire protection will be lost. Our contractors will work day and night to get the work done as quickly as possible.
