The ongoing snow and hailstorms show zero lowland conditions and a lot of snow in the Rogaland and Vestland highlands. The traffic control center warns drivers.

According to Vegtrafikksentralen, driving conditions in both counties are difficult on Sunday afternoon.

- Snow throwers drive on the roads and do whatever they can to keep the roads up to standard, they write on Twitter.

Bergens Tidende reports that the waiting time in traffic jams between Haugastøl and Bergen on the national road No. 7 above the Hardangervidda is more than three hours.

- There is poor visibility and winter conditions in the mountains. I recommend people fill the tank, get enough food and drink and warm clothes, traffic operator Jørgen Bødtker tells the newspaper.

On Sunday afternoon, the situation was as follows for the passes between the east and west:

  • E16 Filefjell - Open
  • E134 Haukelifjell - corked
  • Fv. 50 Lobby - Aurland - corked
  • Rv. 7 Hardangervidda - corked
  • Rv. 52 Hemsedalsfjellet - open
  • Fv. 53 Tyin - Årdal and Rv. 13 Vikafjellet is closed.
