Offering a place in a kindergarten is a specific thing the municipality can do, says Linn Katrin Pilskog, who is the city councilor for kindergarten, school and sports.
Kindergarten contributes to normality
Incoming children may be in an extremely difficult situation and it will be necessary to create as normal as possible. The City Council will make it easier for children to play and meet other children. The City Council will therefore ensure that younger Ukrainian children can start kindergarten as soon as possible. The day-care offer will also be important to ease the burden on parents by giving them the opportunity to participate in Norwegian language teaching, activities under the auspices of voluntary organizations and, in the long run, to participate in working life.
