The filling level of Norwegian water reservoirs was 65,1 percent

Hydrological drought. For several days now, we can find and hear disturbing news from Poland and other countries about the level of water reservoirs and rivers in many press, radio and TV releases. Alarmingly low water levels were recorded in rivers throughout Poland. Experts warn and talk about the hydrological drought that is progressing.

W Norway according to the NVE weekly report at the end In the 29th week, the filling level of Norwegian water storage facilities was 65,1%.

For comparison, the median for the filling in the same time period is 73,3% for the years 2002-2021. During the week, the magazine filling increased by only 1 percentage point.

Central Norway (area 3) had the highest water filling with 87,4 percent, while south-west Norway (area 2) had the lowest water filling, only 48,3 percent.

In many  places in Norway the filling rate of water reservoirs is still extremely low. This situation will certainly have an impact on the price of electricity.
