Change of electric charging prices in Oslo

. For several weeks A hot topic is the new rates in Oslo for charging electric cars.

From Thursday, December 8, charging rates at municipal charging points increased. The reason is a strong increase in electricity prices.

The proposal to increase rates was accepted by the city council. The new rate applies from December 8 inclusive.

Those who charge electric cars, so far they have paid less than the commune paid for electricity. As rates change, what you pay will more closely reflect the expenses your council spends in offering urban space charges. If electricity price changes significantly, tariffs may be changed again, either up or down.

From 08.12.2022 you pay for the time of parking and charging the car. The Norwegian Environment Agency is working to create a system where you pay for the actual use of electricity for charging.
