New scam attempts via SMS are constantly emerging. The latest example is an SMS that pretends to come from a bailiff. Do not click on the link if you receive such a message.
In the SMS there is a reference to the letter to be sent requesting information on the attachment case. The SMS is a reminder and contains a link where we are encouraged to check or update the case.
Don't click on the link!
If you receive this message - don't click on the link.

Such scam attempts may seem credible while this SMS is written in poor Norwegian. It's also always a good idea to look closely at the URL or link. The link in this SMS looks suspicious and leads to a website that is designed to steal personal information.
But what if you clicked on a link?
If you accidentally clicked on a link, the police advise you to do the following:
- Instantly change the passwords of all the services and websites you have visited with your mobile phone.
- Reset your phone to factory settings. The linked website may have installed malware on your phone.
- If you're restoring your phone from a backup, make sure the backup is from before you visited the site.
