- Ukrainian forces urgently need further training and education. Norway positively assesses the British initiative to train Ukrainian soldiers in Great Britain. We will participate with instructors in basic training of soldiers, similarly to several other countries, says the Minister of Defense.

Norway is also positive about the Icelandic initiative to set up a training and capacity building project in the field of explosives removal.
- The removal of explosives in Ukraine is very important, not only to increase the security of the Ukrainian civilian population - both now and after the end of the war. The Norwegian Armed Forces have extensive experience in this area and can initially contribute to the development of the concept, says Gram.

Close coordination

The goal of the #CopenhagenUkraine international donor conference is to strengthen cooperation between Ukraine and numerous countries in Northern and Eastern Europe in the best support for Ukraine in the fight against the Russian invasion.
- We must continue close Western cooperation to make the support for Ukraine as useful and effective as possible. We must continue to train and equip Ukrainian forces and provide them with financial support so that they can continue their fight for freedom and independence, says Defense Minister Bjørn Arild Gram.

Coordination, predictability and sustainable development

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov, British Defense Minister Ben Wallace and Danish Defense Minister Morten Bødskov hosted the meeting.
-In today's meeting, I raised what I consider to be the three main points for further work: coordination, predictability and sustainability. It is important that we continue to cooperate and closely coordinate support for Ukraine with our allies. We also need to move from donating individual systems from our own stockpiles to larger purchases directly from the defense industry. Then we must provide funds for this and support Ukraine in purchasing processes. We will stand by Ukraine for a long time. At the same time, Ukrainians must build their own management and planning capabilities, and Western countries must help them in this, says the Minister of Defense.
