On February 11, 2023, a piano concert was held, performed by the well-known pianist, composer and conductor Marcin Dominik Głuch.
The concert was organized by the Association Den Polsk-Norske Forening and Buskerud, Polish School Hønefoss with the support of Ringerike Kommune.
The pianist, Mr. Marcin Dominik Głuch, came from Sweden to Hønefoss at the invitation of the Association and the School. Mr. Marcin Dominik Głuch is a well-known pianist (soloist, chamber musician, ballet pianist and opera tutor), conductor, cultural anthropologist and composer.
Since 2011, he has been conducting artistic workshops on the topic "Silence is also music" in many Polish SPK schools and community schools. On that day, at the Hønefoss Polish School, there were also workshops with Mr. Marcin Dominik Głuch. Children and students had the opportunity to participate in a lecture on the Polish history of music, learned about music from various periods of Polish history, and, under the supervision of Mr. Marcin Dominik Głuch, made art works accompanied by music. A meeting with Mr. Marcin is a wealth of knowledge and openness to exploration, creativity and talent.
During the recital, Mr. Marcin Dominik Głuch played the most beautiful pieces from two countries that are most important to us: Poland and Norway. The program included works by: T.Tellefsen, St.Moniuszko/P.Maszyński, H.Pachulski, J.Zarębski, Ch.Sinding and R.Koczalski.
It was a beautiful, huge event connecting two countries and cultures.
Over 200 people attended the event! It is a huge success and a great promotion of Polish culture!
