, to build a new joint border police station in Magnormoen.

Crime in border areas is a challenge. Therefore, we will create a joint police station with Sweden at the border. Fighting crime is of the utmost importance, says Justice Minister Monica Mæland (H).

On the border between Norway and Sweden, a Norwegian-Swedish police headquarters in Magnormoen is being established, in line with the recommendations of the Norwegian Police Directorate and the joint police service.

- There is close and good cooperation between police agencies in different countries in the Scandinavian region. The new building on the border line will be a natural next step in the further development of the close police cooperation that already exists between Sweden and Norway, says the Minister of Justice.
