Petter Stordalen, together with the acquisition fund Altor and TDR Capital, which owns the ferry operator Hurtigruten, bought and took over the reins of Ving. The office was saved in this way after the recent bankruptcy of the British travel giant - Thomas Cook. Ving is a very important gem of Norwegian tourism, it would be sad to lose it. Repair and modernization plans have been long awaited. The work had been going on for many months. Only such a combination of forces and permanent cooperation can save this company.
