Public transport in Stavanger

Below is a proposal made by Dag Mossige on behalf of AP, FP, MDG, R, SV, SP.

The city council intends to introduce completely free public transport in the northern area of Jæren for all residents of Stavanger. This will be achieved by covering the foreseen ticket revenues from Stavanger residents in the approved budget for Columbus, by the municipality itself as a community, and not by individual residents/passengers. The city manager was asked to enter into a dialogue with Kolumbus and present a case that would outline the best way to achieve this goal. Most likely, the residents of the municipality of Stavanger will be able to take advantage of this offer from July 1.
