We have been encountering the concept of quarantine practically since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. All the rules are more or less clear to us. It is the slogan "quarantine that causes a lot of ambiguity. We do not have sufficient information regarding quarantine rules. We present the most important information in a nutshell!
Quarantine in Norway. What types do we distinguish?
There are currently 2 types of quarantine:
- Infection quarantine - applies to people who had direct contact with a person infected with Covid 19 and saw them at least 48 hours before the onset of symptoms in the sick person. The contact must last at least 15 minutes,
- entry quarantine – applies to people who enter Norway from another country.
How long is the quarantine and what rules must be followed?
Quarantine (both infectious and entry quarantine lasts 10 days). A person subject to quarantine must provide his/her place of residence district quarantine so that she can remain under the watchful eye of the services. Contact with other people is prohibited. You are not allowed to leave the house - even to the store or post office. If we don't have anyone to do our shopping in a store or pharmacy, we can go out and do only the necessary things. You should then keep the most important things Precautions:
- cover mouth and nose,
- stand at least one meter away from other people,
- avoid queues,
- disinfect your hands after returning to the house / flat.
Quarantine process. Are there any exceptions?
Are there any exceptions to the quarantine process? Of course. This exception occurs in case of people, which must necessarily leave the territory of Norway. Then they can arrive public transport e.g. on airport. People who, among other things, work and travel regularly on the line do not have to undergo quarantine Sweden – Norway. This exception also applies to travel from the EEA and Schengen areas. If there is a yellow zone there. A similar situation occurs if we traveled from the country marked in red through the so-called yellow country.
