The RAW AIR tournament continues.
It is a series of ski jumping competitions organized on four Norwegian ski jumps. This year it takes place on March 9 - 18, with ski jumping competitions in Oslo (March 9, 10 and 11), Lillehammer (March 12 and 13) and Trodheim (March 14 and 15). Currently, Kamil Stoch is the leader, who after today's competition has over 80 points ahead of Austrian Stefan Kraft, who is taking second place.
How was today's competition?
In today's competition, Kamil Stoch did not amaze anyone. He is still in great shape, which he has proven in both series. He made his first jump on 146 meters and thus set a new hill record in Trodheim. It is worth mentioning that he jumped from the lowest beam due to the prevailing weather conditions. In the second round he sealed his victory with a jump of 141 meters. After today's competitions, Kamil Stoch can basically enjoy the victory in this year's RAW AIR edition, as well as the third Crystal Ball in his career, although the final competition in the World Cup will take place only next weekend.
The second place went to Stefan Kraft, last year's winner of this series. Third was Robert Johansson, who lost only 0,4 points to Stefan Kraft. The Poles in today's competition did not impress with their form, as during the last jumps in Lillehammer. Dawid Kubacki finished his jumps in ninth position, Stefan Hula came in eleventh, Piotr Żyła took twelfth, Maciej Kot took sixteenth, and Jakub Wolny finished in the twenty-eighth position.

A few words about RAW AIR
RAW AIR is the Norwegian equivalent of the 2017-Hills-Tournament. The competition was held for the first time in 16 and it was won by Stefan Kraft, followed by Kamil Stoch. Contrary to other competitions, in this case, the general classification includes both points obtained during the qualification (the so-called "prologue") and individual jumps. At the same time, the scores obtained are included in the general classification of the World Cup. This is one of the most intense competitions, because in order to successfully complete it, the starting competitors must perform a total of 9 equal jumps within XNUMX days. They take place every day.
