On May 26, in the Golden Hall of Gamle Logen in Oslo, the "Outstanding Pole and Polish Ball Gala" will be held. Unlike previous editions, this year's event will be a combination of the Polonia ball in Norway and a gala during which awards for Outstanding Pole will be presented. So far, they have been organized separately. The following organizations and institutions are responsible for the entire event: The Youn Polish Norwegian Professionals Association, Embassy of the Republic of Poland and Love Dance Help.

The competition for the "Outstanding Pole" for the eighth time

The award ceremony for the winners of the "Outstanding Pole" competition will be awarded this year for the eighth time. There are five categories: business, science, culture, personality of the year and the young Pole. An important information is that anyone can submit a candidate. It is enough to read the rules of the competition and fill in the application form. You will find him pod tym linkiem. It is worth mentioning that the candidates do not must reside in Norway. According to the regulations, it is enough that he is a Polish citizen and resides outside his homeland - and there are no territorial restrictions in this respect. Applications can be submitted until May 3 this year.

Ball of the Polish Diaspora

The organizers have also planned an entertainment part that will follow the award ceremony. The Polonia Ball will be accompanied by a concert, during which Krzysztof Kiljański - the 2005 Fryderyk laureate, known primarily for the song "Except you", which he recorded together with the Polish singer Kayah. The musical part will also be conducted by the Format band, which is known to a wider audience in Norway for its covers. The tradition of events organized by Love Dance Help is the performance of DJ Micki Gru.

Musically, but also for charity

The above-mentioned Love Dance Help is known for organizing charity concerts. This year's event is also of this nature. The income from this year's Polonia Ball will be allocated to the construction of the first hospice in Poland for people living in rural areas in Podlasie. The final recipient of this money will be the Prophet Elijah Hospice Foundation.

Cost of participation in the event

To take part in this year's "Gala Outstanding Pole and Ball for the Polish Community Abroad," you must purchase a ticket. The organizers have prepared two pools: in April it can be purchased for NOK 650, and in May the cost will increase to NOK 750. Participants of the event receive a ticket for both the awards ceremony and the entertainment part. In addition, they will eat a three-course dinner and will be able to go to a concert by Krzysztof Kiljański.
