What changes in the migration policy is planned by the Norwegian government?

People who have applied for asylum in another country

Out of 400 people who have been refused asylum in Norway, 159 have already applied for it in another country. Thus, they came under the Dublin Convention, which was signed within the European Community on June 15, 1990. According to its provisions, refugees can only apply for asylum in one country, and this must be the first one they went to - e.g. if a refugee reached Europe via Greece, Norway has the right to send him back there. Parties to the Convention are all EU members and additionally: Norway, Iceland, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.

. Grounds

The surprising number of people who have been deported under a court decision as a result of breaking Norwegian law. This applied to a total of 581 people, and it represents about 38 percent of all foreigners who had to return to their home countries forcibly. Of which 16 percent of such cases concerned Poles, 13 percent foreigners from Romania, and 11 percent from Lithuania.

Norway's immigration problems

As we have already informed, the Norwegian government is planning changes to migration policy. The argument that refugees from the Middle East have a problem with assimilation into Norwegian society is being raised more and more often. The planned changes are also to apply to Poles. The same applies to the amendment to the provisions on social benefits, paid to immigrant familiesdespite the fact that 15 billion NOK is allocated to social care out of 480 billion NOK available to NAV each year, o what we wrote in this article.
