Wednesday is a day of big changes. The unfair sentence of Tomasz Komenda has been overturned, the man is demanding multi-million damages. Important information is the announcement of the reorganization of the WBK bank, which will soon be renamed as Santander Bank Polski. The status of "Mass", a well-known crown witness, also changed from free to the accused.
Command's final acquittal
Today, the sentence of 25 years in prison for the Headquarters has been finally revoked. Unjustly accused of brutal rape and murder of fifteen-year-old Małgorzata K. The man ended up in prison for eighteen years, which he describes as hell. Unfortunately, those guilty of the Komenda's drama - there are none. The judge who handed down the harmful sentence in 2004 is still active. On the other hand, the retired prosecutor who contributed to the detention of the man does not seem to feel guilty. Therefore, Tomasz Komenda is demanding due compensation in the amount of ten million zlotys, as well as moral compensation. He adds that he will not rest until the persons responsible for his sentence are put on the bench, but at the same time he no longer believes in the Polish justice system. The lawyer of the wrongly accused man, Zbigniew Ćwiąkalski, swears that he will do everything to "make the state suffer the consequences of putting an innocent man into prison".
A big change in the banking market
An important change for 4,5 million customers of Bank Zachodni WBK - the third largest bank in Poland will transform into Santander Bank Polska in September. The headquarters of the bank will also change, so far located in Wrocław will be moved to Warsaw. The adaptation of the branch, the transposition of the bank's layout and logo will start right after the summer holidays. The change is dictated by the comfort of customers who will feel more connected with the international institution, which is the Spanish Banco Santander. The main shareholder of today's WBK bank.
Mass with his son stopped by financial embezzlement
Jarosław S., the famous bandit celebrity, was arrested in connection with the investigation of the Lublin Branch of the Department of Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Public Prosecutor's Office. A criminal group consisting of Mass, his son, a customs and tax office clerk and a policeman, was to extort bank loans for the amount of almost PLN 670. During the investigation, it was also established that the accused was to pay and accept bribes, as well as refer to contacts at the Lodz Police Headquarters. Last year, Masa revealed to Superexpress his dreams of being Jarosław Kaczyński's bodyguard, whom he wanted to protect with his own breast. Most likely, they will never come true again, because Masa itself will be behind bars for many years.
