What should you know about studying in Norway? NS. AND

Norway is an attractive country not only from the point of view of getting paid work. The quality of the local academic centers is more and more appreciated. We write below about how to get in and what are the recruitment conditions.

Where can you study?

The Norwegian higher education offer includes 8 state universities, 9 vocational universities, 5 military schools and private universities. In total, there are 77 academic centers in Norway where education can be started. The offer is also directed to students of other countries.

Worth knowingthat the higher education system provides for the possibility of education at three levels. Similarly to Poland, these are bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies. NOKUT – takes care of the quality of the academic offer Norwegian Office for the Quality and Recognition of Education, part of the Ministry of Education.

What should you know about studying in Norway?

Important information is factthat NOKUT publishes the so-called GSU list. It contains the requirements and conditions it must meet foreign student candidateto study at an academic level in Norway. Worth knowingthat this institution provides comprehensive assistance in completing the necessary documents and in completing all stages of recruitment for studies.

Recruitment similar to Polish

The recruitment process is similar to this one we know from Poland. A student candidate must first register in the NUCAS system, where recruitment to all Norwegian universities is conducted. The decision to accept or reject the submitted candidacy rests with the administration of the university to which the documents were submitted.

First registration, then documents

An important difference, however, is the need to register in the recruitment system - even if the candidate does not yet have the Matura exam results. The deadline for submitting the application depends largely on the university itself, but usually these are the winter months for studies first-cycle studies and spring in the case of second-cycle studies degree.

The deadline is July

High school graduates only have until July 1 to submit all documents. Academic year in Norway starts in mid-August, therefore the recruitment results must be announced no later than July 20. Mandatory documents include: a swornly translated high school leaving certificate, a copy of your identity card, an application for admission to studies and the necessary photos for your documents.
