The development of technology facilitates the work of the police
According to the Norwegian Okokrim (a special police department dealing with economic and environmental crime - editor's note) reported that more and more criminals are using digital payment methods. According to officers, paradoxically, this makes it easier to detect crimes. It also enables more precise reconstruction of illegal transactions. Thanks to applications such as Vipps, it becomes much easier to determine who paid whom and in what amount. But technology development also poses challenges by the Norwegian police. Its officers still have to keep up with new applications and online payment systems. To increase its ability to detect and prove crimes.

New oil fields were discovered
Equinor in collaboration with Lundin and Spirit Energy made the first oil discovery after it was renamed Statoil. The newfound resources in the North Sea are predicted to be capable of producing between 15 and 35 million barrels. With the current market prices of this raw material, this means that the value of these deposits is estimated from 2,69 to as much as NOK 22 billion. Assuming that the price per barrel remains at today's level of $ 76,90.
The exact oil reserves will be determined after the drilling is completed. If the assumptions are confirmed, Equinor will take steps to expand its mining infrastructure in the region. It is possible that the equipment and platforms that are already there will be used - oil and gas production is already underway in the immediate vicinity of the new deposits.
The Norwegian Labor Inspectorate inspects construction sites
As we reported in the broadcast "What are the responsibilities of a construction company?” At the end of April, the Norwegian Labor Inspectorate carried out a large-scale action. As part of these activities, they controlled construction sites. In May alone, they checked the working conditions of employees in over 500 locations. The results of these inspections were not satisfactory - suffice it to mention that financial penalties were imposed on over 200 companies - mainly due to invalid identification cards (HSM-kort).
Inadequate safety conditions
Many construction sites were closed due to insufficient security conditions. The National Labor Inspectorate questioned in many cases, e.g. incorrectly set up scaffolding. They were too far from the walls and there was a risk of falling. In addition, the devices used did not have adequate protection, and the employees suffered from injuries to their arms and legs.
