Fewer and fewer immigrants

Although Norway tempts foreigners with its wages and social system, in 2017, fewer and more immigrants left than in previous years. The trend is also clear in the first quarter of 2018 - during this period 13 people came to the fjords, but 300 left. This is the lowest rate in years. This is due to the fact that there are fewer and fewer Syrians and Poles. Additionally, more and more people of these nationalities register as persons returning to their homeland.

The worst birth rate in 33 years

The Central Statistical Office also indicates that the birth rate is at the lowest level in 33 years. At the same time, this trend is deepening. In the first quarter of 2018 alone, 400 fewer children were born than in the corresponding period of 2017. There have also been 300 more deaths. This is the worst result since 1985.
