Norway, considered a land of milk and honey, may well be called the land of the fjords. Its very long coastline boasts many beautiful specimens that are a must see when visiting Norway. We write which fjords deserve the most attention!

Nærøyfjord fjord

People who have had the opportunity to visit it say that it is the most spectacular fjord in Norway, and also considered by many to be the most beautiful. Its location is the heart of the land of the fjords. The slopes of the fjord are up to 1,5 km high. Considered a true miracle of nature, because the opinion that it is the most wonderful specimen of the Norwegian land of fjords is supported by the UNESCO World Heritage List. Tourists and residents of the country have the opportunity to go on a trip by ferry or boat all year round. Fiord it is surrounded by steep mountains and is really only accessible from the sea.

Geirangerfjorden fjord

Staying on the subject of the wonders of the world, you cannot pass by this fjord indifferently. Geirangerfjorden was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2005. Like its predecessor, it is surrounded by a multitude of soaring mountains, over which numerous waterfalls fall, e.g. the Seven Sisters waterfall. It is 15 km long. Unlike Naeroyfjord, there are no active farms in its area, only remains of old, but already abandoned ones. People who have had the opportunity to see it say that it is not an easy area to visit. Help in this matter is provided by a ferry trip that will take us through the entire length of the fjord, or by buying a map and traveling on many routes on our own.

Lysefjord

This specimen is 42 km long, and its name translated into Polish means clear fjord. Throughout its entire length, it delights tourists primarily for one main reason - it has many rocky cliffs along its way. They are shocking with their height, because they reach up to 1000 m, and they are very steep. This is the main reason why it will be difficult to find many farms and settlements there. Currently, there are two settlements in Lysefjorden, i.e. the town of Forsand and the village of Lyseboth. As in the case of the previous two fjords, and here the best way to explore is by boat. Ten fjord attracts the greatest interest of tourists due to the Preikestolen cliff, otherwise known as the pulpit. It is 604 meters high and has an area of 600 meters. It is a photographic destination for many tourists.
