. Yesterday, a video was shared on Facebook in which Owsiak informs about this decision. "I want to play until the end of the world and one day longer"

Resignation from the presidency

A few days ago, when the tragedy and murder of the President of Gdańsk, Paweł Adamowicz, occurred, Jurek Owsiak decided to resign from the position of president of the WOŚP foundation. His decision divided the Poles. Some were struck by this fact, while others enjoyed this turn of events. The former, however, were so surprised by the decision of the founder of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation that the whole country was in turmoil with great support for Owsiak. For this purpose, even the hashtag #muremzaowsiakiem was created, thanks to which everyone on the Internet could show support to this man.

The support given to Owsiak was so great that he made the decision to return to the position of the president of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Of course, the Internet and all media have boiled up again and we can meet enthusiasts of this decision, but also its opponents. Jurek Owsiak reminded us of the orchestra's main slogan "We will play until the end of the world and one day longer."

Facebook statement

Information about the return of Jurek Owsiak to the position of the president of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation was given in the video posted yesterday on Facebook. In the video, Owsiak addresses directly the deceased president of Gdańsk, Paweł Adamowicz, and explains that his resignation from being the president did not mean parting with the foundation for good, but was dictated by the great responsibility he felt after the events in Gdańsk.

We play until the end of the world and one day longer!

This is how Jurek Owsiak summed up his statement in yesterday's film: “Yes, we want to play until the end of the world and even longer, because this world is reborn (…) I'll tell you Paweł briefly, let's get to work. I go back to work, I work ten times harder. This is the moment when the whole situation, not even a millimeter, would not go somewhere into the afterlife. This just shows that your ideals have come back even more forcefully. Yes, I will play with an orchestra, yes, I will be the president of the foundation. I hope that millions of Poles, listening to the homily and the speeches of the clergy, will take it to heart to firmly say "no" to each hatred, but to everyone! We do not agree to this. We go back to work "
