More than 160 people from the Norwegian Armed Forces say they were raped or intimidated last year. The results of the survey are terrifying because it turns out that rape or attempted rape occurs every other day among the Armed Forces' officers.
October survey of the Armed Forces
Last year, the Norwegian Armed Forces conducted a survey of its employees and conscripts, the main purpose of which was to investigate the problem of harassment. The study verified the experience from the last 12 months, and the number of responses that were collected was 8805. Ultimately, the results are not optimistic because 160 people, as the research shows, were raped or attempted to rape. Exactly 44 people reported having been raped, ie 24 women and 20 men. On the other hand, the rest of 123 people reported that someone had tried to rape them.

The surprise of the chief of defense
Defense chief of the Armed Forces Haakon Bruun-Hanssen is extremely surprised by the answers given in the survey, as he did not expect such news. According to him, in the last 12 months, only two cases of rape were finally reported out of 44 indicated in the survey. The defense chief urges all aggrieved parties to report the case to the police.
