At the moment, the version of accidental setting fire during renovation works is being verified. The fire of the Notre Dame Cathedral shocked the whole world - when will we know the cause of the fire?

Who is working in the investigation? Police, prosecutor's office, construction specialists. At the very beginning, lighting and lifts on extensive scaffolding were verified. Julian Le Bros, head of the construction infrastructure company, is adamant that the cause of the fire is not an electrical failure:

Of course, we had our own electrical network in the cathedral, but our elevators and installations were seven, sometimes even eight meters away from the walls. Moreover, the network itself was thoroughly checked. All safety procedures were scrupulously followed. “

Renovation works of Notre Dame - the cause of the fire

The police determined that renovation works in the cathedral were carried out correctly on the day of the fire. After finishing work, the workers cut off the electricity and returned the keys. fire appeared in the part of the church where the spire rises. Workers involved in the renovation work believe the fire may have been caused by the new heating installed in the cathedral. Will this be the final say on this matter?

The police and prosecutor's office are still working to find out the cause of the tragedy and fire of the Notre Dame Cathedral. More people are being interrogated. The fire occurred on April 15, around 19 p.m. The operation lasted a long time, but the main "skeleton of the cathedral", important monuments and relics were saved. The western façade was not damaged. The French, business people and people from the world of culture immediately after the tragedy provided financial support.
