The fire of the Notre Dame Cathedral shocked the whole world. Expressions of support - the spiritual and financial ones come from many places in Europe. Millionaires, businessmen and representatives of culture assure of their willingness to help in the process of rebuilding the temple. Work on restoring the splendor of the cathedral may take several years. 

Notre Dame Cathedral - what was saved?

As we informed in the previous text, the fire did not reach the cathedral's treasury. Therefore, the most important relics related to the crucifixion of Christ were saved. A recording showing the interior has also been released to the network today Notre Dame Cathedral after the fire. The fire did not engage the benches and chandeliers.

The President of France wants to rebuild Notre Dame Cathedral in 5 years

Emmanuel Macron - the president of France announced in a special address to the nation that he wants to rebuild the Notre Dame Cathedral in 5 years:

“We will rebuild Notre Dame even more beautiful and I want it to be completed within five years, we can do it (…). It is up to us to make this catastrophe an opportunity to unite and reflect deeply on where we are, where we should be, and to become better than we are ”.

Conservators of monuments less optimistic ...

Will it be possible to implement the plan to rebuild the temple? Monument conservation experts are not that optimistic: “What happened to Notre Dame Cathedral is a cataclysm comparable to the devastation of war. The reconstruction will take time for a whole generation ”- Marcin Kozarzewski, monuments conservator from the Monument Service.
