Vinmonopolet's board of directors has approved four new stores. In addition, seven other new locations have previously been approved, of which at least three may open in 2022.

Two of the new stores will be located in Trøndelag, respectively in Ranemsletta in Overhalla and Strindheim / Leangen in Trondheim.

Bjørkheim in Samnanger in the west Norway will also have its own store, as do Gimsøy in Skien in Vestfold and Telemark. Vinmonopolet wants to achieve this in 2022.

At the same time, Vinmonopolet informs that the store in Alti Futura Senter in Kristiansund will open in March 2022. In April of the same year in Noresund in Krødsherad in Viken. Tasta Senter in Stavanger, which opens in spring 2022, will also have a monopoly on alcohol.

Oslo, Sand in Nord-Odal, Bergen and Råde in Viken have also been given opportunities to open new stores, but searches are still underway in these four municipalities, opening in 2023 seems more realistic.

- In the last 20 years, we have opened well in over 200 locations. Although we have achieved the goal of 97 percent of the country's population living in a commune with access to alcohol, which is less than 30 km distance, we will continue to open new stores in the coming years. This is Network Director Linda speaking. Frid Andresen in Vinmonopolet.
